Director of Human Resources
St. Anne’s Episcopal School seeks an experienced and highly motivated human resources professional to serve as the Director of Human Resources. This position is responsible for full-cycle human resources (HR) management for faculty and staff at St. Anne’s. This position provides hands-on expertise, support, and coordination for all HR functions including recruiting and retention, compensation and salary administration, benefits, regulatory compliance, employee relations, training and development, onboarding/offboarding, and leave reporting. This is a 12-month position reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer. This is a new position for the school.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities for the Director of Human Resources
• Collaborates with school leadership to understand and deliver the goals and strategy related to staffing, recruiting, and retention.
• Identifies staffing and recruiting needs; develops and executes best practices for hiring and talent management.
• Plans, leads, develops, coordinates, and implements policies, processes, and training to support the school’s human resource compliance needs.
• Manage and coordinate benefit programs – health, dental, vision, FSA, HSA, 403(b) retirement, core life/AD&D and LTD, and COBRA – for all school employees.
• Monitors and ensures the school’s compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews and modifies policies and practices to maintain up-to-date compliance.
• Works directly with school leadership and division heads to assist with performance/employment matters by effectively balancing needs of school with providing employees supportive environment.
• Manages and coordinates on-boarding and off-boarding processes for all employees.
• Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law; applies this knowledge to communicate changes in policy, practice, and resources to school’s leadership.
• Facilitates professional development, training, and certification activities for school employees.
• Performs other duties as required.

Education and Experience
• Bachelor’s degree required
• At least five years of human resources management experience required
• SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP highly preferred

Compensation
This is a 12-month, 1.0 FTE exempt position, with annual salary range of $82,000 to $95,000 (commensurate with experience).
