Fountain Valley School:
Fountain Valley School is a co-ed, boarding school enrolling 250 students in grades 9-12. Founded in 1930, the School provides a rigorous, global curriculum in academics, arts, athletics and the outdoors in a diverse community.
The Opportunity:
The CNA or LPN reports to the Director of Health Services and will be responsible for the dispensing of medication and care of our students in a college preparatory boarding environment. This person works closely with our health care team consisting of the director, three part-time nurses, counselors, physician medical director and athletic trainer. This person will work up to 27 hours per week, the hours are from 7:00 pm - 10:00 pm Monday through Friday and Saturday and Sunday from 4:00 pm to 10:00 pm. This position can be filled by more than 1 person depending on availability. This position starts January 4, 2023.
Position and Responsibilities:
? Medication Administration
? First Aid
? Regular consultation with supervising RN
? Basic Care duties as assigned by RN
? Maintain medical records and state required records
Qualifications:
Licensed CNA or LPN
High School Diploma required
Must have current CPR/FA and AED certification
Working Conditions:
? Environment: indoors and outdoors working with high school students
? Proof of COVID-19 Vaccination/or evidence vaccination is in process. The school will make reasonable accommodations for applicants who require a medical or religious exemption.
? Physical Demands: able to do a combination of sit, stand and lift up to 40 lbs for at least 8 hours per day; occasional after hours, weekend and/ or weeknight obligations.
? Working Relationships: students, parents, outside vendors and all other employees.
Salary Range: $16.50 -$18.00 per hour
