Montessori School of Denver (MSD), located in beautiful Colorado, is seeking a School Health Aide for the 2022-23 school year. The position is set to start immediately.
Job Overview: The School Health Aide provides health care to students who require basic first aid, administer medication, and perform medical procedures and tasks as delegated by the School Nurse and as requested by a health care provider and parent. A crucial role to the health and safety of our student population, the School Health Aide evaluates ill or injured students and notifies parents as needed, and provides care in emergency situations, calling parents or emergency personnel when necessary. About Our School: MSD provides an engaging, empowering, and sound Montessori educational program for students ages 2-14. Our school is accredited by the American Montessori Society (AMS), the Association of Colorado Independent Schools (ACIS), and the National Association of Independent Schools (NAIS). - CPR and First Aid certifications required
- Experience with office/administrative work
- Must have the ability to interact positively and cooperatively with students, staff, parents/caregivers and general community
- Loves working around children (Toddlers through 8th grade)
- Able to show compassion and competence when addressing student health needs
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills, with the ability to multitask while maintaining detailed and accurate documentation
- Maintain visibility and accessibility on campus
- Adapt well to change, show flexibility and resourcefulness, and welcome collaboration
- The ideal candidate should have experience working in a school health office for at least 6 months
