Telluride Mountain School is an innovative learning community where strong academics, enriching experiences, and meaningful relationships develop confident, curious students who passionately contribute to the world. Telluride Mountain School is a pre-K through 12 independent school of 130 students located in Telluride, CO, in the heart of San Juan mountains and southwest Colorado. We are seeking an exceptional Humanities teacher, team member and advisor for our Upper School (grades 7-12). The Humanities teaching assignment will include both History and English Language Arts, and will depend on the teacher’s skill set and the needs of the team.

Professional Qualifications
• Classroom teaching experience preferred

• Outdoor and/or experiential teaching experience preferred
• An undergraduate degree in related field of Education, or History or English, is required; a graduate degree is preferred
• Communication skills and commitment to teamwork

• Commitment to all students in our school community

• Commitment to ongoing professional growth and learning, and the growth and development of others on the team
