Job Description:

This part-time position with training sessions taking place after school, 5 days a week (Mon - Fri) from 3:30-6 p.m. for 9 months non-consecutively. The session period will run from mid-August to mid-May, with time off for holidays. Your passion for human performance and youth development, along with the ability to motivate and inspire athletes, will contribute to their growth and success on and off the field.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead Varsity and JV school athletics teams in a comprehensive strength and conditioning program.
  • Develop and execute strength and conditioning programming for high school and middle school athletes.
  • Teach fundamental movement skills using proper progressions and critical thinking to progress and regress on an individual basis.
  • Be a positive role model for developmental athletes.
  • Understand how to increase student-athlete proficiency in enhancing and advancing athletic abilities specific to their sport.
  • Work with sports coaches on student-athletes' schedules, progression, and performance.

Qualifications/Requirements:

Education and qualifications should include the following:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required, Bachelor's degree required.
  • CPR/First Aid certified.
  • Current CSCS Certification.
  • Graduate degree or in process preferred.
  • 1-2 years of experience coaching youth athletes.
  • Previous internship experience in a high-level sports performance setting (college, professional).
  • Can manage sensitive information with the highest degree of integrity and confidentiality. ? Effectively communicate with students and parents.
  • Patience, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Proficient in Google Suite.
  • A sense of resonance with the St. Mary’s Academy mission.

alary/Benefits:

This is a part-time, exempt,  9-month position. The coaching stipend range for this position is $6,500-$7,500 (Depending on experience).
