Primary-Lower El Spanish Teach

August 13, 2025 - June 30, 2026

MSE is seeking a Spanish Teacher to join our well-established Montessori school. A Spanish Teacher maintains and contributes to an exceptional learning environment for student’s Primary through 3rd grade. The Spanish Teacher participates in the life of the school, collaborating with a team in a mission-driven environment. Position is 4-6 hours a week. 

 

Responsibilities


Learning Environment

  • Establish and communicate clear learning objectives

  • Promote a love of the Spanish language and passion for learning

  • Prepare and deliver lessons focused the Spanish language and instrumental instruction which are developmentally appropriate for each of these age levels to achieve student success and growth

  • Be able to encourage creativity and self-expression among students

  • Supervise lessons to ensure that learners interact in a supportive and respectful manner


Administrative

  • Responsible for establishing a welcoming environment

  • Procurement of required materials for lessons and displaying artwork

  • Evaluate student progress and complete specialist report cards for each student semiannually 


School Advancement

  • Network with curriculum drivers at other Montessori and independent schools

  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Dean of Education and/or Head of School

  • Support the school and its leadership.

  • Serve as a contributing member of the MSE community when called upon


Requirements

  • BA/BS degree preferred

  • Fluent in the Spanish language and experience in oral and written Spanish instruction

  • Commitment to, and interest in, the Montessori philosophy

  • Ability to work collaboratively with faculty to enhance curriculum and community   

  • Strong ability to multi-task and keep to a schedule

  • Commitment to professional development and best practices in education

  • Understanding multi-age learning environments

  • Commitment to meeting the needs of each child

  • Experience with fostering and maintaining excellent professional relationships with students, parents, faculty, and administration
