POSITION DESCRIPTION

St. Anne’s Episcopal School is pleased to announce an opening for a  full-time  Technology and Innovations Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. 

OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES AND EXPECTATIONS

  • Develop and teach a developmentally appropriate and innovative Lower School curriculum to grades K-5 whose objectives are based on current national standards for computational thinking, coding, robotics, digital fabrication, physical computing, and digital citizenship.

  • Develop and regularly update an engaging and innovative curriculum that focuses on developing skills that encourage personal productivity, creativity, critical thinking, coding and collaboration in the classroom and in daily life. 

  • Develop benchmarks and standards for student technology proficiency.

  • Introduce and support cross-curricular integration of technology at all grade levels.

  • Work closely with Lower School grade level teams to foster creative and appropriate use of technology, innovation, and design in project-based learning.

  • Work collaboratively with other teachers to plan lessons and produce school-wide events. 

  • Contribute to community-wide needs and other duties as assigned


IDEAL QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in STEM or Elementary Education

  • 3+ years of experience teaching elementary and/or middle school students; specifically in areas of design thinking, problem based learning, engineering design process, STEM/STEAM, robotics, computer science or technology

  • Experience developing engaging projects for young learners

  • Flexible mindset and ability to bring innovative approaches to identifying and solving problems

  • Experience exploring and piloting new technologies

  • Creative and energetic teaching strategies and good classroom management skills

  • Strong initiative and organizational skills

  • Willingness to develop one's own knowledge and skills through professional development

  • Ability to work and communicate effectively and efficiently with and within a culturally diverse student body, staff, and community

  • A firm understanding of differentiated instruction, 21st century skills, 3D printing, coding, emerging technologies, MakerSpaces and project-based learning

  • Strong references that convey your teaching abilities, connection with students, and mastery of computer science and technology

  • A love and enthusiasm for using technology and working with a computer

SALARY RANGE & BENEFITS 

$52,000 - $80,000 Annually  (Commensurate with Experience)
