The Denver Waldorf School is a friendly and lively urban K-12 school with 300 students located in Denver, Colorado with the splendor of the Rocky Mountains just a short trip away. Founded in 1974, we are a fully accredited full member school of the Association of Waldorf Schools of North America, the Waldorf Early Childhood Association and the Association of Colorado Independent Schools.
Key Responsibilities Include
- Supervising children during outdoor play.
- Assisting with classroom organization and cleanup.
- Supporting the Lead Teacher and Lead Assistant in daily classroom activities.
- Building warm, meaningful relationships with the children.
- Helping to nurture the domestic, artistic, and rhythmic life of the classroom.
- Sharing responsibility for maintaining a beautiful, orderly, and welcoming classroom environment.
- Creating an atmosphere of security, warmth, and joy where children can thrive.
The ideal candidate for this position will have
- Qualifications that meet Colorado Department of Human Services (CDHS) requirements.
- A genuine love of working with children ages 3½ to 6 years old.
- An interest in and appreciation for Waldorf education.
- The ability to collaborate effectively in a collegial team environment.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to maintain clear, consistent communication with parents.

Working Hours
This position is scheduled to work Monday through Friday, from 11:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., on days when school is in session. Additional paid hours will be required for mandatory trainings, staff meetings, in-service days, and other school-related activities as needed.
