Full Time | Onsite | Academic Year Position

Hours: Monday - Friday, 7:30am - 4:00pm

Start Date: Approximately August 3, 2026 

Starting Salary: $28,644 - $36,456 ($16.50-$21/hour)  (based on experience and education)

About Your Role

  • You foster young children's natural curiosity, engagement, growth, and development in all areas: physical, cognitive, social, and emotional.

  • You set gentle and consistent boundaries, encourage learning through play and exploration, and create a safe and nurturing environment for young children to make choices.

  • You are a warm, caring, creative, patient, and enthusiastic professional who loves working with young children. You are always looking for ways to learn and grow as an educator.

  • You provide dynamic support across the entire Early Childhood Division (ages 2 to 5), seamlessly adapting to diverse teaching styles, age-appropriate routines, and classroom environments throughout the day.

  • You communicate clearly and kindly with children, families, and colleagues.

  • You are organized, manage your time well, and are sensitive to the social and emotional needs of young children and their families.

What You’ll Do

  • Classroom Strategies and Behaviors: Assisting lead teachers in implementing daily lesson plans and "Love and Logic" principles while leading or co-teaching small and large group activities focused on literacy, math, and sensory play. Providing lunch and planning break coverage to maintain classroom continuity and instructional flow during staff transitions.

  • Supervision, Safety, and Adaptability: Acting as the primary resource for maintaining legal staff-to-child ratios by moving between classrooms (ages 2 to 5) as directed to respond to fluctuating student attendance or staffing needs. Actively supervising children in all environments, monitoring school-wide transitions, and conducting frequent head counts to ensure student safety.

  • Student Care and Development: Utilizing a diverse toolkit of positive guidance techniques to support developmental stages ranging from toddler diapering and sensory needs to Pre-K conflict resolution and independence building. Providing nurturing responses and maintaining consistent routines to support a warm, inclusive classroom climate.

  • Planning, Preparation, and Support: Preparing and organizing materials for centers and daily activities while following morning setup and afternoon shutdown procedures. Ensuring all environments remain clean and compliant with Child Care Licensing Rules and Regulations, including the restocking of communal supplies and ensuring shared play areas meet cleanliness standards.

  • Professional Collaboration and Growth: Communicating daily observations of student behavior and learning progress to lead teachers while engaging in professional, friendly interactions with parents. Participating in team meetings and professional development to continuously grow in the craft of effective teaching. Champion a positive environment; promoting an exchange of ideas and strategies;promoting our school and its community’s development. 

What You’ll Need to Get the Job Done

  • Required: Assistant or Lead ECT qualified through education or PDIS Early Childhood Professional Credential Version 3.0 Colorado Shines Credential Level 2 or higher.  Preferred: Lead ECT qualified.

  • Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree or some college level coursework, preferably in education, early childhood education, child development, etc.

  • 1-2+ years classroom lead experience

  • Minimum: high energy, passion for teaching great kids

  • Exceptional 

  • A commitment and ability to cultivate students’ curiosity, engagement, growth, and performance in academic, intellectual, social and emotional domains

  • Strong time, organization and project management skills

  • Managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

  • Proficient use of computer software, Google and learning management systems (Blackbaud preferred). 

  • Grant permission for a background check upon hire.
