Position Summary
Denver Jewish Day School is seeking an energetic, dedicated, and values-driven Head Coach for the Varsity Boys Basketball team. The Head Coach will lead the program by fostering athletic skill, teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship while aligning with the core values and culture of the school.
Key Responsibilities

Program Leadership: Plan, organize, and execute daily practices, game strategies, and player development for the Varsity Boys Basketball team.

Student-Athlete Mentorship: Emphasize sportsmanship, leadership, academic excellence, and personal growth both on and off the court.

Scheduling & Game Management: Manage team travel, game-day logistics, and attendance at all home/away competitions and League meetings.

Communication: Maintain clear, professional, and timely communication with student-athletes, parents, athletic department staff, and administration.

Safety & Compliance: Ensure student safety at all times, adhere to CHSAA (Colorado High School Activities Association) rules and regulations, and follow all school policies.
Qualifications

Prior coaching experience at the high school, club, or collegiate level (Basketball coaching experience preferred).

Strong knowledge of basketball fundamentals, strategy, and skill development.

First Aid/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain prior to the season).

Ability to work afternoons, evenings, and occasional weekends during the basketball season.

Compensation & Schedule

Stipend: $3,000 total stipend for the season.

Season Duration: Winter Season (typically November through February/March).
