Major Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Auxiliary Program Manager with communications with faculty, staff, students and families as needed.
  • Coordinate aftercare for preschool and elementary school.
  • Support and assist the preschool staff.
  • Maintain records and support planning for all work related to school accreditation.
  • Consistently provide high levels of customer service in a positive and professional manner to internal and external members of the community.
  • Foster collegiality and positive morale among staff.
  • Work with the Preschool Team and Aftercare (ELM) Team to meet the needs of families as well as faculty and staff.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

  • Engage in ongoing professional development by setting yearly goals, participating in staff development opportunities, and contributing to the exchange of philosophically-aligned ideas in regular meetings.
  • Set personal and professional yearly goals with the appropriate supervisor and complete the annual evaluation process in partnership with the supervisor.
  • Attend all full-staff meetings and school events (unless excused by HOS).
  • Participate in the school’s hiring processes as appropriate/necessary.

Qualification Requirements:

Education and qualifications should include the following:

  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills 
  • Possess joy, a growth mindset, and a sense of humor and commitment to working collaboratively
  • Associate and 2+ years experience in support roles or similar preferred
  • Early Childhood Professional Credential Level 2 or above preferred, or willingness to pursue
  • Oversee and prioritize health and safety for all after school students.
  • Ability to use a range of technical tools: email, calendars, communications platforms, database systems, word processing and spreadsheets.
  • Must take initiative, and have the ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Able to meet an occasional flexible work schedule 
  • High level of professionalism and integrity, including discretion, confidentiality

Compensation: Salary range is $19/hr – $21.50/hr and pay is commensurate with experience, degree, and position. Friends School offers a competitive compensation package including medical, dental, life insurance benefits, 403b plan and generous paid leave.
