Denver Jewish Day School announces the opening of a full-time Lower Division elementary grades (PK-5) Librarian position.

Requirements

Denver Jewish Day School Lower Division is seeking applicants for a full-time elementary (PK-5) Library Teacher for the 2024-2025 school year. The ideal candidate will possess outstanding teaching skills, knowledge of the key principles and approaches for a strong elementary library program, familiarity with 21st century skills, the ability to work with a range of grade levels (PK-5), knowledge of instructional technology and its applications to teaching in the library, willingness to work with other teachers to promote interdisciplinary studies and Project Based Learning, MakerSpace Learning, and possess excellent communication skills with students, parents, and colleagues.  We are looking for a candidate who has experience with a diverse population of learners and differentiated instruction.  The candidate will be a positive school community member and will enjoy working collaboratively with a team and building relationships among all constituencies. Masters in Library Sciences is preferred. 

   

Description

Lower Division specialists (PK-5) work as part of a specials team (art, music, PE, technology/makerspace, library, and farmette) and teach all students in the Lower Division. Specialists also collaborate with classroom teachers to support and promote interdisciplinary studies, Project Based Learning, and other innovative educational practices. 


Salary and Benefits

Salary based on education and experience, starting salary range, prorated from an annual salary of $47K-$60K+. This is a full-time position and is eligible for benefits. Denver Jewish Day School offers an excellent benefits package.
