Mackintosh Academy, an independent pre-K through eighth-grade school for gifted and creative students in Littleton, CO, is seeking qualified candidates for a full-time Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten Lead Teacher for the 2025-26 school year.

Requested Qualifications:

Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Education or a related field.

Colorado Teaching Certificate (highly preferred).

A minimum of five years of teaching experience, preferably with gifted students.

Meet the State of Colorado and/or accreditation requirements for Early Childhood Education Lead Teacher with a minimum of a Level II PDIS of Early Childhood credential.

Must be ECT (Early Childhood Teacher) by the state of Colorado.

Understanding of inquiry-based teaching and learning, the International Baccalaureate program, IB training, and experience teaching gifted children, including twice-exceptional students, or a keen, dedicated interest in developing your skills and understandings in these pedagogies.
The ability to:

Implement best instructional practices for early learners; International Baccalaureate preferred.

Understand and support the unique developmental needs of gifted early childhood students.

Support compliance with state preschool requirements and expectations, including Colorado Shines.

Work with the Curriculum Director to ensure conformity and vertical alignment with PYP planners.

Monitor and maintain the safety and condition of the early years playground.

Perform other duties as assigned.
Start Date: August 1, 2025
Pay Range: $50,000-$62,000. Salary consideration is given for seniority, merit, quality, education, and experience.
