Colorado Academy seeks a full-time math teaching candidate to cover a leave of absence during the first half of the 2024-2025 school year. The position begins August 12, 2024 and ends with winter break, December 19, 2024. It includes two sections of Math 1 (9th grade with a focus on Algebra and Geometry) and two sections of Honors Precalculus, and an advisory.

Requirements

Candidates should have experience, training, and/or a demonstrated interest in teaching math in a student-centered classroom at the secondary school level. Candidates should be interested in working on a team of math teachers, implementing an established curriculum.

Candidates should be eager to join a professional community where collaboration is valued and where openness to growth is the norm. Additionally, candidates will be expected to share in the day-to-day life of the school community, which includes serving as an advisor. Excellent interpersonal skills are required. Demonstrated intercultural competence, which we define as the ability to understand and bridge diverse perspectives, identities, and lived experiences, is a must.

The full time, full-year, equivalent pay range for the position is $55,000-$89,500. Colorado Academy reserves the right to pay more or less than the posted range. Any discrepancies that may exist do not relate to sex.
