School Counselor (K–12)

Denver Jewish Day School is seeking a full-time School Counselor beginning August 1, 2026. DJDS is an independent, pluralistic Pre-K–12 Jewish day school in Denver dedicated to preparing students through strong secular and Judaic education to live purposeful, ethical lives.

The School Counselor is responsible for developing and overseeing a comprehensive counseling program serving students across grades K–12. Responsibilities include providing brief individual and group counseling, leading classroom presentations, consulting with families and faculty, and supporting students’ social, emotional, and academic development. The role also includes coordinating elements of health and prevention programming, assisting with referrals and outside resources, interpreting student data and assessments, and collaborating with teachers on behavioral strategies and student support plans. The counselor participates in crisis response and risk assessment processes and supervises an annual counseling intern.

Qualified candidates must be licensed mental health professionals with a master’s degree in counseling or a related field and experience working in school settings; a school counseling license is preferred.

Salary range is $70,000–$85,000, with full medical, dental, and vision benefits and participation in the school’s 403(b) program.
