Overview

Stanley British Primary School, located in Denver’s Lowry neighborhood, is a progressive independent school serving 470 children from transitional kindergarten through 8th grade.  For 50 years, Stanley classrooms have been filled with engaged learners guided by inspired teachers. In this position, the Teaching Fellow will work alongside a master teacher to:

  • Inspire and educate children to develop to their full potential – socially, emotionally, intellectually, physically, and creatively
  • Create a safe, supportive, mutually respectful classroom community that values the distinct contributions and abilities of each child
  • Implement integrated, meaningful, developmentally-appropriate curricula in which students can explore and experiment through first-hand experiences
  • Create opportunities for students to know themselves, to make good choices, and take responsibility for their own learning and actions

In addition, Teaching Fellows:

  • Engage in 2.5 hours/wk of coursework with Head of British Primary Teaching and Learning
  • Receive support and feedback from an advisor
  • Actively engage in ongoing professional development
  • Communicate and collaborate positively and professionally with the Stanley staff and communit
Desired Qualifications and Background Experience:
  • Prior experience working with children
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion

Salary and Benefits

Compensation is $30,000

The salary listed is just one component of Stanley’s total compensation for employees.
