Upper School Science Teacher - Physics 2024-2025

August 6, 2024 - June 6, 2025

Colorado Academy seeks candidates for the position of Upper School Physics teacher to begin in early August 2024. This is a full-time, ongoing faculty appointment, consisting of advising and four teaching sections. We ask that candidates with additional proficiency in another field, such as chemistry, biological sciences, or mathematics highlight this in their application materials.

Requirements

Candidates should have experience teaching science in a student-centered classroom at the secondary school level and successful experience with a collaborative team teaching model.  Preference will be given to candidates with a Master’s degree in a science-related field.

Candidates should be eager to join a professional community where collaboration is valued and where openness to growth is the norm. Upper School faculty share in the day-to-day life of the school community, including serving as advisors and Interim leaders. Excellent interpersonal skills are required, as is demonstrated intercultural competence, which is the ability to understand and bridge diverse perspectives, identities, and lived experiences.

The pay range for the position is $55,000-$75,000. Colorado Academy reserves the right to pay more or less than the posted range. Any discrepancies that may exist do not relate to sex.
