Middle School Math Teacher

Aspen Country Day School seeks a full-time Middle School Math teacher for the 2025-26 academic year.

Salary: 

The wage rate for this position will include a salary range of $70,000 - $90,000 and will be commensurate with experience. 

This is a full-time position with health, dental, vision, disability insurance, and retirement plan offerings. 

Essential Functions: 

Sixth through Eighth Grades are part of the Middle School at Aspen Country Day, operating under the leadership of the Middle School division head. Students follow a schedule designed with the unique needs of middle schoolers in mind, creating bonds with dedicated instructors specializing in various subjects. Our Math instructors teach multiple grade levels while designing and implementing a math curriculum aligned with school standards, incorporating various teaching strategies and technologies. Math teachers deliver engaging instruction, foster a positive and supportive learning environment where all students feel welcome. Teachers will regularly assess student performance through formative and summative assessments, providing constructive feedback to support growth. 

Other duties as assigned. 

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have an educational background in teaching. Minimum requirements are a Bachelor’s degree and a commitment to advancing curriculum goals. Social-emotional learning is an integral part of middle school. Teachers serve as advisors to a group of students, building positive relationships with students and fostering a sense of belonging through the advisory program curriculum. 

Learning at Aspen Country Day School is not limited to the classroom. The school’s outdoor education program and interdisciplinary arts curriculum are hallmarks of the student experience. Candidates will be expected to share in the day-to-day life of the Aspen Country Day middle school community. 

Expectations

This is a full-time position that begins mid-August 2025. The standard schedule is 7:45 am to 3:45pm, with a weekly faculty meeting until 4:30, although team planning meetings may require additional time. Additionally, all faculty members share daily supervision duties at the school. Occasional evening and weekend commitments are required throughout the school year.

NOTE:  This position requires a pre-employment criminal background check. Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a criminal background check.
